Michael McGuire

Mike McGuire is a husband, father, and attorney from Columbus, Ohio. He serves as Senior Deputy Legal Counsel and Policy Advisor to the Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives and Majority Caucus.

He previously worked in the Ohio House from 2011-2015, and returned to public service in his current role in 2023. In the intervening years, he served as the executive director for a Conservative nonprofit and practiced law at a Columbus-based firm where he specialized in commercial real estate transactions. He has served on boards of directors for political interest groups and school alumni associations, and he helped establish the first Catholic legal society at Moritz College of Law.

He received his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and his B.A. from the University of Akron. He also holds a Certificate of Applied Politics from the Bliss Institute for Applied Politics at the University of Akron.

Mike and his wife, Hannah, are blessed with three children (ages 8, 4, and 3). They are parishioners at St. Paul the Apostle in Westerville. The family does not yet own a dog, but the chorus of requests is becoming impossible to ignore.
