Rhys is a founding partner of Volkenant Law Group, which is a law firm in Langley, British Columbia, Canada that specializes in carrying out work for charities and non-profit organizations. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Trinity Western University while playing varsity soccer and obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia.

In his work, Rhys helps charities and non-profit organizations with their corporate and charity compliance matters from a variety of sectors, including churches, religious organizations, independent schools, local and international poverty relief organizations and affordable housing providers. He thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to assist organizations and individuals that carry out impactful work both locally and internationally.

Outside of work, Rhys most enjoys being a dad and the time spent with his wife and their five children. In his limited spare time, he also enjoys playing, watching and coaching sports both with and without his kids, with soccer taking pride of place.
