
Ted Batson is a tax partner with the firm CRI Capin Crouse Advisors LLC.
Ted leads a team of tax professionals who advise faith-based taxexempt organizations on a wide range of tax and everyday business issues nonprofit organizations face and prepare Forms 990, 990-T, and 990-PF. Ted also represents nonprofit tax clients in IRS and state tax agency audits.
In addition, Ted has extensive experience in the design, implementation, and administration of charitable planned gifts, including charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, charitable gift annuities, and other similar giving techniques. He has also advised numerous clients on the formation and administration of private family foundations and donor-advised funds.
Ted is a frequent speaker at professional conferences, including Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum (ICLEF) CLE seminars, the AICPA's annual Engage Conference, the Missio Nexus Annual Conference, and the Christian Leadership Alliance's annual Outcomes Conference. He serves as a Senior Editorial Advisor for Church Law & Tax and chairs the Missio Nexus Mission Finance and Administration Planning Committee. He is a past member of the AICPA's Trust, Estate, and Gift Technical Resource Panel.
Ted received the Juris Doctor summa cum laude from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, a Master’s in Business Administration from the Indiana University School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts from Asbury University. He is a licensed as a CPA in Indiana and has been admitted to the state bar of Indiana.
